Is days of our lives the only soap on nbc?

I love days of our lives but i noticed they took passions off did they cut that soap opera off? If they did i'm glad i thought it was stupid.

Yes Passions was cancel and I agree with u about it being stupid. I try watching it a few times to see If I can get into it but it was too magical for me It couldnt keep my intrest.

Yes NBC cancelled Passions- they annouced that eariler this yr- but then Direct TV decided to take it- and now Passions is ONLY available on Direct TV's own channel

- Days is NBC's only daytime soap and it is very possible that when their contract is up ( i think 2008) NBC may get out of soaps all together. Neither soap did well in the ratings the last few yrs and it is cheaper to extend stuff like the Today show or do show talk/game shows-
As of right now .... yes. Passions was taken off the air by NBC when their contract ended. Direct TV picked up the soap however, but it can only be seen by people who have Direct Tv service.

If NBC is smart, they won't cancel Days when their contract ends. They will be the only major network not to have soaps on during the day, and that will hurt their ratings. Cuz all of the soap watchers will be watching other stations, and not NBC during the 1-3 pm time slot.

I remember when NBC had four soaps on back in the 80s then in the 90s it was just three. In the late 90s it was Sunset Beach, Days, and Another World then Another World was cancelled to make room for Passions (big mistake). Then Sunset Beach was later cancelled and I was upset about that because it was a much better show than Passions.
Yes Days is the only soap on NBC right now.
